Ceremony in memory of canadian aviators

The ceremony, organized by the Committee JUNO Canada Normandy, the association "Normande du Souvenir Aérien Orne Maine", "Le Souvenir Français secteur de Falaise" in collaboration with Falaise, will take place at the aerodrome of the "Monts d'Eraines" ( 5Km from Falaise), at 10 am. Inauguration of a monument in memory of canadian aviators who helped to free France in the 2nd world war. The canadian ambassador, the state major of the canadian air force, the Prefect of Basse-Normandie, several french generals and Barry NEEDHAM, a canadian veteran will be present.
Shedule
Patrouille de France

- From 10am to 11.30am: Beginning of the ceremony.

- During the ceremony between 10.15am and 10.30am :
"La patrouille de France" will fly over Falaise and the "Monts d'Eraines" during the ceremony, if the weather is nice.

- From 11.30am: a reception of honour is offered by the town of Falaise

- From 14pm : Exhibition of the airplanes T6, Pipper and Tiger moth.

Practical informations

Free access to the aerodrome, parking places are provided for the event. It is not allowed to leave the area before the end of the ceremony out of respect for the commemoration.
